The Trumpet Space Garden first came to me as a dream of a record cover, similar to Miles Davis record Big Fun. I only could see 1 trumpet and fire colors coming out of it. Once I started, I thought about playing cards, how the Kings and Queens artwork are always reversed. Then the challenge and risk was the color improvisation to fill in the space garden.
